This year has been the story of Ross Minor and his struggles through accepting his disability. Ross is an optimist, funny, stubborn, smart, clever and compassionate. Every day he is faced with new challenges, but is determined to be independent. His faith is unfailing.

I forgot to mention something very important. My best friend, Laura Rowe who lives in Viriginia Bch (where I lived before I moved to Charlotte) has created an awesome opportunity for me to turn my tragedy into something positive. She's been trying to motivate me for over a year now and has been an instument of God. Laura has carried me through many valley's and has taught me how to pray from my heart. In my times of desperation I have continually called upon Laura to find my way....and she always shows me that through Christ I can perservere. Through a collaberative effort we have come up with a name of a charitable foundation to be called "Ryans Roots". For those of you who do not know, Ryan is the name of my son who passed away on 6/14/2006. This is still in it's infancy, but soon I will redirect you from Caringbridge to Ryansroots web site. Our initial goal was to offer support and help to people who have been suddenly blinded, like our soldiers returning from the war. A child like Ross does not "fit" into a particular category because of the way he was blinded. Being blind from birth is completely different from suddenly becoming blind because of a trauma. This sector of people need to be addressed and offered support and hope. I'm not certain yet how we will identify these individuals, but am certain that God will lead us there. In God, all things are possible. Suggestions are always welcome! From this horrible experience I am certain that God has intended me to do something to help my brothers and sisters. Please pray for our success. I desprately need to give back to my community in Charlotte and I am really hoping this is the way. Wishing all "enough"
