Thanks for the kind words on my caring bridge, I'd like to maybe become FB friends, you can find me under jeanne bernie scheler I believe to send a request if you want to.

I am so surprised to have made it past the prognosis set forth by my professionals, and now they are surely guessing as they won't tell me how much longer they think I have. I will prove them month by month that Pancreatic Cancer doesn't get everybody down in the first year, and maybe not even the first 2. I realize my terminal condition is still with me, but I really do put it on the back burner and live each day to the fullest, Following your early caring bridge journey really helped me SEE THAT I could do it just like you. So please know you helped me in that way, all that time ago.

Hope you enjoy the upcoming holidays.

Hi Ronda,

I watch the video and it is AMAZING!  You are one of the strongest people I know and I am proud to call you my friend:-)  Fingers crossed for the Emmy, but I know that your video is giving people hope and changing lives regardless.  Thank you for sharing part of your story with the world!

XOXO

Great, the link worked perfectly when I dropped it into Google. I watched the whole thing and it brought a smile and a tear to my eye at the same time.

I have heard shingles are the "worst" kind of pain glad you got through that.
Just the fact that you can work is so wonderful. I am an LPN and had worked for a quadriplegic for 14 years who was on a ventilator. But now that I need narcotic pain medication to handle my pancreatic cancer I cannot work with vulnerable adults so have had to quit my job.

I know I have followed you through some of the lowest of lows you've shared and now some of the uppiest highs you have and that is what helps me go on. I love your inspiration to others.

That calendar is the cutest thing also. Your poochie has been there through thick and thin as well.

Well, just wanted to say you have people who follow you that you don't even know but it's all those great friends that you have right by your side that make your days really stand out.
Keep up the good work and keep believing you can be one of those 20% of people who are alive at 5 years. My 14 month prognosis is coming up in September, and I plan on blowing that out of the water as well but have accepted that I do have a terminal illness so I don't waste a second of any day feeling sorry for myself. I live each day to the fullest and find that there are a lot of people that are looking up to me as well.

Caring bridge is such a neat way to do this. I love the cyber communication and connections.  I know there was a time you were really down on your physical appearance of having gained weight. My problem is the opposite I have gastro paresis and don't have the ability to eat enough in a day to maintain or put on weight so I am slowly fading away to a 107 pound skin on bone, but I recently went to Mexico and thought to "heck with it" I am putting on a suit anyway and so I did.  I thought about you when I made my decision.  You can't let your physical appearance get in the way of living your life.

Have a great summer.

Hey Girl!

The video is awesome!  It deserves an Emmy!  I hope you get it.

I love your spirit and determination and compassion.  I never cease to be amazed at how God is working through your experiences.  But you know one of the side positives of your whole life and sharing so openly about your cancer is that it makes me and others SO grateful for the military and the Navy and nurses like you.  I praise God for telling your unique life's story and bringing awarenss on so many different fronts.  I'm SO proud of you and continuing to pray for remission.  Thank you for teaching us to love each day and its blessings and opportunities. b
