WOWOWOWOW!!!!! Summer is over, school has started and we are entering the 3rd grade, celebrating 6 years post transplant and turning 9!
Sorry again, for the delay- I update facebook much quicker than taking the time to get on the computer to update Romans site- so soon, I will turn it over to him! He asked me a while back if he can write on his website, and I believe I'm getting close to letting him!
Just a brief overview of the past few months. His monthly labs have not been where they would like them to be, so at our Yearly dr visit to St. Louis (2 weeks ago), he had labs drawn and they were higher than they have been since last Novemeber, so since we were there they wanted him to have a liver biopsy done. We finally heard the results this past Friday and they said everything looked good, which was good news, but- there was an enzyme elevated which has to do with an allergic reaction of some sort. We are pretty sure it has to do with his peanut allergy. He had something the week before we went to St. Louis that flaired his skin up and we know from his allergy test last November when his counts shot up, it was due to the test! So we are really going to have to watch labels. His allergy has gotten worse these past few months, and we don't know if it will turn into a respiratory problem at some point.
All this to say, Roman is doing great and enjoyed his 1st day of school yesterday and told us he loves his new teacher!
Also, this past Monday- the 16th was his 6 year post transplant anniversary and wanted to go to Earls for lunch!
Next Monday the 23rd, is his birthday and he is still thinking about what he will order for his treats for class and dinner!
I will let him update his site next week and share how his 1st week of school went, so check back then!
Thank you friends for your prayers! God has given us 9 years with Roman and has continued to heal his body! Pray his skin heals quickly and his peanut allergy will subside.
Praising Him,
Michelle
