We are back from the Twin cities and all went well. We learned lots of things about traveling when handicapped! The next trip will be a little easier. We didn't get to a baseball game but spent the time in the burn unit at Regions Hospital with my brother. He wasn't doing well and they ended up having to amputate his hand. The infection had spread to his blood stream. Since surgery, the infection is doing better. He will be there for quite awhile. Please keep him in your prayers.
I am going to sign off of Caring Bridge. We are so thankful for the notes and encouragement from so many people through this site. I encourage you to support the site. It meant so much to us. We are especially thankful for all the prayers. God has truly been with us through this ordeal. Roger has improved way beyond expectations and we are so grateful. He still has work to do, and he is still working very hard. Progress comes more slowly now, but it is still coming. I continue to adjust to the role of caregiver. It was hard watching everyone return to school this fall, but I am adjusting and finding plenty to do. I am so encouraged by Roger's progress and expect great things!
Thankyou! Thank you! Thankyou for the notes, cards, visits, gifts, and encouragement! Thank you to our children! What a blessing you have been! Thank you to all the people at Thrivent where Roger worked. They have truly been a family! Thank you to the members of Messiah Lutheran church who worked so hard to help me get our house ready for Roger to come home. Thank you to all our friends, family and community for all your support. It can never be repaid.
GOD IS GOOD! He has proven that through all of you!
With all our love and gratitude,
Joanne and Roger Drevlow
