Robert West's Journal
The last entry
Written Jun 20, 2013 8:11pm by betsy kahnAll, it has been two weeks since Robert made his transition and there have been no updates because frankly, there were no updates. Obviously.
For anyone in Wilmington, Robert's celebration of life will be at the Cameron Art Museum on Saturday, the 22nd at 2pm, followed by a a gathering at the Firehouse.
If you can join us, it would be great. And if you can't, that's okay too.
Please know how much Robert appreciated your sentiments on CaringBridge; I know this only because he said so.
Be of good cheer.

At about 1am on Thursday June 6, Robert made his way through the tunnel to the other side. We will post details of arrangements later but for now, please know his transition was peaceful and we are doing our best to be of good cheer, only because he wants us to.
Nearing journey's end
Written Jun 5, 2013 11:14am by betsy kahnAll,
Things are changing quickly. In the last 24 hours, Robert has become unable to communicate. The hospice nurse said he is moving into the 'zone.' As an analogy, he is entering the mouth of the tunnel and he needs to go through uninterrupted.
He is very peaceful, without pain, and he has no signs of discomfort. The hospice nurse has suggested that visitors be limited to his immediate circle from this point forward.
Please continue to hold Robert in love and light as he progresses through the 'tunnel.' And please, be of good cheer.
