My Story

Welcome to our Caring Bridge website. We decided to create this website to keep family and friends updated.

We appreciate you coming to the site and all of your helping hands, prayers and encouragement through this time in our lives. Most of the story is written by Danelle, Rob's wife.

Danelle and I wanted to start this page together for friends and family that would like to know how things are going. We always love phone calls and letters, of couse, but here is a place where we can keep everyone updated as my recovery progresses.  Our wonderful large and caring family knows how busy things can get and here is a perfect place to comment and read how we are doing.

Danelle starts her first teaching job in Washington in the Fall, and cant wait to begin to educate young minds the value and importance of Music and the Arts.  She is amazingly talented and will be excellent in her new profession.

Our sons Joseph and Noah will also begin 1st grade and K at Blessed Sacrament in Morton and are so excited to be at the same school.  They can't wait to start.

Thank you all so very much,

Rob

Goodbye

January 11, 2013 6:17pm

Today my husband was laid to rest with the most beautiful funeral mass and burial service. My soul mate, my heart and my love is now in a better place.

It is so incredibly amazing how much impact my husband had on other people. He made friends wherever he went and was loved by many. There are so many memorial sites, eulogies, donations and kind words out there in honor of him, below is the newest that I have seen. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all that have supported us through this horrendously difficult time. I am overwhelmed at the generosity of everyone who loved him, but I cannot say that I am surprised. He was so easy to love.

"Only when you drink from the river of silence shall indeed you sing. And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance."

I love you Robert Eckhart. I will do my utmost to continue to make you proud. I love you always and forever.
