River had another swallow study done and this time they made it very clear ( they were not pleased with Terry and I that we have been letting River eat and drink) that River's swallow has declined quite a bit. I still just wish the little guy would show us a clear sign that hes struggling so much. So they gave us the order of NPO....or in laymens terms, nothing by mouth. Not now, possibly, not ever. So were rushing to buy River a feeding pump, more tube supplies, formula, mic-key buttons - everything tube related. Our supply won't last us long on a full-time basis. Some days I wonder why we have insurance at all (since we're having to buy it all ourselves)...but I am thankful for the wonderful world of ebay =)
The brighter side of things is they noted some motility issues during the OPM. So well be talking with GI to see what other testing needs to be done. Perhaps someday we will get to the bottom of River's tummy troubles. Yes, always a silver lining...
The weather has been great down here and we have been spending all our time outdoors. River and Jude could not be happier - they despise coming inside after we've been out. They sure are our boys! And we have been getting eggs from our new little feathery friends (and we've added to the flock - one died and 3 came in her place =) River did get to try some of our own eggs before getting cut off so he didn't have to miss out.
All in all things are well, the boys and perfect and life is good...
