I'm just so touched with all I just read...how very special for those precious children battling cancer to receive such generous gifts! How fun to be on the giving end and see the smiles and realize just how delighted they must be. I love that Rex is still touching lives ~ what a generous teacher he was to you and others whose lives he connected with throughout his short life. He's teaching me how to better see needs and meet them. Your entry brought tears to my eyes. Blessings as you continue to honor your son and inspire those of us who read your words (I live too far to do anything else). I know those who live closer see you acting out God's love. I can't even begin to imagine the pain and heartache you must still endure not having him here with you, to grow up in front of you. However, Rex IS home, and we as God's children long to go there and join him. Love,
Janice Tiner

What a blessing to run into you at Taylor last night! We were checking our Katy and Jaden in for 2nd and 1st grade. They had heart surgery, assembly line style, at Cook Med. Center 31/2 years ago. Katy had been flown to Cook soon after birth to save her life. My husband, Wayne, lived to sit through their successful surgery. We have been so blessed by this facility. I will get your 3rd grade class picture to you! Love to all your family!

So wonderful to hear of all the good things you are doing in Rex's honor! We continue to remember our little red-headed friend with the mischievous smile- especially every time we watch the Rangers! We love reading your posts on Facebook and on Caringbridge-your family's faith inspires and strengthens us and I know it inspires and strengthens so many more. God bless you all! Thanks for continuing to raise awareness for cancer's littlest warriors.

Dear Flemings,

Awesome recent updates!  So inspiring that you are turning your  unspeakable loss into something so good!  Rex and Jesus are joyful as are all who read your latest two posts.  You are all in my prayers regularly still and even after Rex'   homegoing you are still such an inspiration.
May God continue to lead you as you set up the scholarship  and may the recipients do great things for God and for pediatric cancer research and treatment.

With continued prayers and hugs,

Mary Kate Knowles (Franklin Floyd's Grandma in NC)

Lance,

Thanks so much for updating the cb page and keeping us all in the loop.  What tremendous things have been happening in the past months.  We will be watching for the P4X stickers on helmets this fall.  Rex will be well represented in the fight against pediatric cancer.

My heart aches for your family as you let go of Laurie and her sweet family.  What a precious gift you have all had with them here when they were needed the most.  I know you are so thankful for that time together.  And Montana is a beautiful place to visit in the summer!

Carry our love with you tomorrow as you deliver to Cook Hospital.  Those five children and their families will be blessed by your presence and your presents.  You understand far more than you ever wanted and will be such a comfort to them all.

My family continues to pray for yours as you navigate the waters of grief.  God is blessing your tears and your laughter as He blessed you with Rex for those ten short years.

In His love and counting His blessings,

Shannon Robinson

You and Jill are absolutely amazing. So much has been accomplished in such a short amount of time. What an incredible blessing you will be to those pediatric patients at Cook. I wish I could be a part of the delivery. My prayers will be with you as you step foot back into that building that holds so many hard memories.
Thank you for keeping our family in your prayers. I know you know what we are enduring. Although I wish we had met through different circumstances, we feel blessed to call you friends. You are very special to us.

So glad to read the update.  Our hearts are warmed by all the events going on in Rex's memory.  We are so blessed to have crossed paths while in treatment.  We just wished West, Tx. wasn't so far from Abilene, Tx.  Our thoughts & prayers are with the family always, and we (& Feryn) will forever remember Rex. A very sincere thanks from past posts of always remembering Feryn. Stay Strong! Live Life! God is Good!
