So beautiful, Donna.  I think of you and your family all the time.  I hope you feel all of the love.  You are so generous to share so much of you with all of us.  I never had the privilege of meeting Reuben, but through your words I feel like even I have been enriched by his much too short time here.  What a spectacular human being he was and what an incredible mom you are.  Sending love.  XOXO

Donna,
As always, so eloquently stated and written.  Reading your tribute and other guests thoughts brought tears to my eyes.  Everyone seems thoughtful and kind and it truly is one of life's greatest losses, which can never be explained.  I know that Reuben will never be forgotten.  He gave so much in such a short time.

Love....

once again Donna, your words and thoughts are heartfelt and deep and beautiful. Thank you for writing.

I treasure being part of your circle that listens to your grief and hope and remarkable being.

In my mind, it is a terrrific idea to bring this gathering of people together to celebrate Reuben's life and all the pieces you mentioned in your letter. It's just what we all need

love you lots

Dear Donna, Albert and Adam, I REMbered by REMinding each one of my kids how important kindness to others is. As I get older it is the one thing I now know I must make time for everyday because it matters to me and to each and every person I come in contact with. How wise that Reuben knew this at such a young age. Lots of love, Kathy

How did I REMember Reuben on 3/13/13? Swimming is my sport, but running is my solace. So when I went for my run today, I ran in honor of Reuben. I also let my swim team know how much I love them...because if there is one thing I truly REMember amd admire about Reubs, it would be his sincere love and care for those around him. REMembering always and forever. He is loved so much. Sarah Weyl

Dear Donna,

I didn't know that today was Reuben' s birthday. I left Londondery after school for an appt. and then had errands to run. I was near your store and decided to stop in and buy a REMember bracelet. I put it on my gear shift and finished my day. I sit here now in the quiet of my house after reading your journal and wonder.

I think I'll leave my reminder in the car for a while.

With Love,

Margaret

In Reuben's name, I called several family members today.  In the rush of the day-to-day busy-ness, it is so easy (at least for me) to sometimes lose touch with key people in my life.  The way Reuben kept in touch with his family and friends is truly inspiring.
And Reuben and Adam are inspiring me to root for the Knicks this year.  Not easy for a Celtic fan.  Go Knicks!
Thinking of you and sending you all strength.

In memory of Reuben I am taking care of Willey and Mia, a friend's two beautiful laborator retrievers, as she faces a difficult diagnosis and challenges that the diagnosis brings.

I think of how the dogs would love his spirit and how they sense a mood, whether happy or sad, and seem to respond to the moment.  Reminds all of us to enjoy and appreciate the moment.
