Hello once again.
We were blessed with another hospital-free winter, and we are very thankful for that. We had our fair share of colds and flus, but that's just the way it goes.
All have continued to progress and grow physically and developmentally. They are definitely toddlers with good days and bad (in all aspects of the day, from waking up, potty, eating, drinking, sharing, playing, napping, sleeping).
Feeding/Drinking is still the "big" issue as they don't drink or eat enough on their own so G-tubes are still used about 4 times a day. Although, they have all improved in both feeding and drinking, they still do NOT consume enough to decrease or stop G-tube feedings. Hopefully with more time, volume will increase and G-tubings will decrease.
All have transitioned into their "big" girl beds/"big" boy bed quite nicely as they sleep in their new rooms in the basement. No more cribs.
Started potty training. It's a work-in-progress.
Veda weighs about 26 lbs 12 oz and is 36.5 inches tall. Still loves books, to bike, animals, singing, a little shy, smart, and more...
Xander weighs 31 lbs 5oz and is 37.5 inches tall. Still content, strong, likes to throw things, curious, tackle his sisters, yet cuddles, all boy and more. His walking has improved since Botox injections in his calf muscles to "loosen" them up. He has at most walked across the garage floor in one try and stood for about 20-30 seconds on his own. His walking effort comes and goes, mainly when he wants to. He has grown and with that his leg muscles tighten a bit so continued PT and stretching.
Malison weighs about 25 lbs 8 oz and is 34.5 inches tall. Still outgoing, verbal, funny, likes reading, singing and more.
Have a great summer,
