Good morning all!

It is with great sadness that I copy below, the entry made last evening about my friend and doctor's wife, Christine Lassa.  Please keep the family in your prayers.  Rae

Christine Victoria Lassa,  March 25, 1956 - June 10, 2009.  Chris died with her family and close friends at her side at 8:20 pm tonight.  Very early this morning she decided that she had enough fighting and suffering, and elected to stop her life support measures of intravenous fluids and nutrition.  She sensed that her organs were shutting down, she was hurting too much and she was very tired of fighting this cancer.  

Father Parr administered the anointing of the sick at 1:45 pm in a beautiful ceremony .  Chris reported feeling much lighter and then used her medications to provide pain relief and drifted off. 

I anticipate her funeral will be on Saturday at St Patrick's Catholic church in Hudson, on Vine street.  More to come as the details become known.  

Chris is and will be missed.
