Caroline Appleby Senior at Benilde St. Margret's
My name is Caroline and I am a senior at Benilde St. Margret's and we heard about your fight with cancer last week at Mass and I just wanted to say everyone here at Benilde is praying for you and we are all going to wear green (you favorite color) on Wednesday to show our support. I hope that things go well with radiation and we are all pulling for you over at Benilde!

God is with you and who best knows our feelings, our ups and downs. God receives the whole of us, the anger which is good, the tears that speak of love and helplesnes. However we are he says, Love you much, you are mine, rest with me and your people.. Am so grateful to receive your words Yvette and Jamie. They are the best selling words. You are love for all of us. Love and prayers.

Yvette,

It's always nice to read your updates.  You, Rachel and Jamie are such and amazing, inspiring family.  Your journey has been a rough road, but through it all, your positivity has been a beam of light that guides you along.  We continue to keep all of you in our prayers and we know that God is hearing them, even if at times it doesn't seem like it.

Don't feel bad about falling asleep on the last post.  Often Robert falls asleep fast forwarding through commercials.....(It's gotta be a Candrian trait:)

The prayers continue from Regent!

Continued prayers for strength and peace!!! Sound of Music has always been a favorite of mine - my first cassette tape owned (that ages me) and the first musical play I was ever in (Liesl).  Here's another favorite version of My Favorite Things, by Sarah Vaughan.  Not the belt-along original (which I still too love to belt along with), but a peaceful, prayerful, dreamy version.

God is with you:

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
‘You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?’

The Lord replied,
‘The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you.’

OMG! I love The Sound of Music, too. One of my favorite lines is from Psalm 121. In the lowest of times, keep looking UPWARD to God who carries us.
I hope you enjoyed the game, Raquelita...a little too close for comfort. Keep those boys in line and keep up the good work of being a fighter, a leader, and an inspiration.
Abrazos,

Rachel, so enjoyed the newscast in which you said, "I love my boys."   Well,  with a happy birthday rendition at 7 AM  and the guys all in green t-shirts that read ...I FIGHT FOR... it is obvious they love you too!!  How Great - Happy 18th!! Was so good to see you this past weekend smiling, and to pray the rosary novena with you, your parents, Totino Grace and all your supporters.
