Happy New Year myLove!  I have been missing you so much lately and feeling so guilty for not posting anything on the blog for so damn long.  I have a lot to share with our Caringbridge community and promise I will be posting something very soon!

Evan, Katie and I continue to think about you and miss you every single day.  They are AMAZING and they are keeping me grounded.  It is a blessing to have such wonderful kids!  Thank you for all of the great prep work you did on them : )

I love you always 100%

Rob

I laughed out loud!!  What a whimsical, wonderful mind she had!  Thank you for sharing Rachel's voice with us.

In honor of her birthday, I donated blood.  She keeps me thinking about how I can help others and be a better person, and I thank her for it.

Without doubt, she remains 100% amazing,

Melissa

Rob,
How wonderful of Rachel's friend to keep and share the List of 25 Things Rachel sent to her, several years ago.  It is soooo very precious.  As you said, you can hear her speaking each and every thing on the list. Priceless!  This is something that Evan and Kate will treasure.  They will have insight into their mother's humor (and it is so ascorbic and funny.)
Have you thought about trying to get her life story (with all of these funthings she wrote, during her treatment, etc.) published?  She shared so much, while she was living.  Even now, she is still sharing with us. People who did not know Rachel, in life, could and would, benefit from her experience.  She fought her battle with wit and strength.  She taught us all the value of life and the importance of family.
Thank you for sharing "The List" with us, Rob.  Thank Rachel's friend.
Love,
John and Susie

Rob,
Wow.  What a big day for you.  We always keep you and Kate and Evan in our prayers but we will especially pray for you at this milestone of Rachel's birthday.

Thank you so much for sharing it with us and for still graciously making something good come out of your loss -- for your persistent reminder to cherish our kids and loved ones.  To be honest, I especially needed that reminder after a "cranky mom" day today.  After I read your post, I immediately took your advice and went back to give the boys one more goodnight kiss in Rachel's honor.

Your positive attitude and willingness to share your feelings and experience are a blessing!

I pray that in return God will bring an unexpected blessing for you today.
