Dear Dr. Sade, Rachel (His Nurse) said you sometimes check in on my sight. I want to say from the bottom of my heart Thank You for all you've done for me. Thanks for all the years of training you endured to have the knowledge nesessary to be able to go into my brain and remove something that was threatening my life. I thank you ever so much! May Jesus truly bless you!

O.K. now for the results of this last check-up and MRI.

I'll spit it out as I remember it rather than in any order. The whitish stuff that shows up on the MRI that I was worried about, he says is most likely scar tissue from surgery. However I will have another MRI done in October to check again and see if it is larger (growing). He did have to leave some of the tumor intact because it was entangled in the trigeminal nerve. He showed us a nerve on the MRI and said that nerve is 1/16th of an inch! That was the optic nerve. He had to do some pretty fantastical delicate work to get around that! He also showed us the main blood vessel to the brain which to me looked incredibly close to where the tumor was. Yikes! Thank you again for your very good hands!

The brain has re-adjusted itself inside the skull to where it ought to be. (filled the empty hole)

Good news I wasn't expecting is that he thinks all the agitation and pain I'm still having is my nerves trying to regenerate themselves!! I still have a chance to get the feeling back in my face!!! I was real surprised at that! He said there's a window of about 18 months to 2 years that most of this usually takes place, but that's not saying that it can't come back after that, just that if it's going to, it's usually within that time. I am 9 months in, so please continue praying that it does the healing!! I'd like my face back!

My memory problems and balance problems he says are probably from the medication. I have to decide what trade off I'm willing to have. Pain or memory? Memory goes! unless it goes permanently! He doesn't thinks so. I will probably be on meds for another year. Unless I continue with the pain...we will see.

My eye function is still recovering. I was surprised at this also. There is still a bit of "bouncing" as I look to the left. I will wait on that.

Dr. Sade probably spent an hour to an hour and a half with us.

All in all I was pleased. He said I look better than I did in Sept. I sure hope so! I told him I still feel as if I'm becoming myself again and coming out of a "fog" He said "Well, you've been through a lot". I told Darwin on the way home it still seems "surreal" to me at times.

I thank all of you who have continued to be in prayer for me. I couldn't have done this without you all and of course Jesus who is there even in the wee hours! So may He bless you and keep you in HIS care!!! Love Polly
