Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas. We have decided that this will be the last entry in the CaringBridge blog. All of Polly’s doctor’s appointments are over and we are just in a waiting mode to see what the permanent side effects of the tumor and surgery will be. We know that in 6 months to a year, Polly will have another MRI to see if the tumor has returned and/or the remaining tumor starts to grow. If it does, there will be radiation. If there is anything significant, we will let you know. We appreciate all of your encouragement during the past 4 months. (4 months ago yesterday). The Caringbridge blog has been an excellent way to get the information to you. My brother David recommended it when he heard what Polly was about to endure. He used a similar blog when his wife, Jeannie, was battling cancer. Our friend, Jeff, lead us to this blog site when his wife was dealing with health issues as well. As I stated earlier, this blog has been good therapy for myself and Polly. It also was a way to get information out to our family and friends without the game of telephone being played. Again, thank you for your encouragement and prayers. We are amazed how God provided for our family and used may of you to minister to us. -Darwin I wish to say a huge thank you as well. We had a great Thanksgiving with family first then we went downtown Fort Wayne and took a carriage ride to look at the lights. I thought, I’m here to spend this night with my family and I thank my Lord. Where I am right now is that I continue to have numbness and nerve agitation on the left side of my face and there are days my left eye is blurry. I still get tired but I’m 40 too! I would love to get off my medication but I am glad that I have it as well. As I wake each day I feel the constant reminder to me that God is there and nothing in life is sure but the salvation that our God has provided for us. As this season comes I have a renewed reason to celebrate the birth of my Savior. I love you all and there is no way to make you understand how much your prayers and comments have encouraged me through this. If you wish to check up on me in the future please drop me an e-mail. pollydunten@hotmail.com Have a very Merry Christmas and New Year! -Polly
Again, thank you and good-bye.
