WHEW!! Hello Peyton Faithful - Yes, Yes, it has been a very long time since my last update, and Yes that does mean things are very good. Peyton has been her normal self, no headaches, no nausea since we returned from St. Jude in Feb - funny how it all just stopped. These kids, I tell you they send a Cancer Mom's mind a racing and we all try so hard not to "go there" , because, look at Peyton - after 2 months of symptoms, she is Fine.
I have received many inquires about if we were to return for a scan in April. We did receive our paperwork for an MRI on 4/20, upon a confirmation call to Dr. Merchant, they decided to take us out another six months, so her next MRI is Sept 1. So no summer family trip to Memphis for us this year.
I am sure that many of you have noticed the change to the Caringbridge sites - as the entire platform changed, and that is one of the reasons my update is so tardy. They changed the way a site author updates and I could only access the site as vistor - none the less - all is corrected and here I am.
Thank you for stopping by and checking in on us - I am thrilled to tell you that Peyton will be 8 years old tomorrow, May 4th. What a blessing she is, and we are overwhelmed by the support all of you have given us throughout her journey.
Please continue to lift up in prayer all children fighting illness. Another Omaha family received sad news this week, Jonah Borngrebe's tumor is growing so they have been faced with some very tough choices for treatment, please pray for them as they move forward with their treatment plan. I am happy to report that Khloie, Abby and Hannah are all doing well.
Thank you again for your support and prayers for Peyton,
The Holubeck's
