Dear Suzanne,  My heart is heavy after reading your current posting.  Please know you are always in my prayers and Peter is remembered in prayer in many Churches.  All of this is so difficult for all of you.  Please treasure the good times and try and let slide the bad moments.  God Bless and we love you all.

Dear Suzanne,  Thank you so much for todays' update.  I am so sorry to hear of all you, Peter and the children are experiencing.  I hope you and Peter find comfort, understanding and peace learned from this retreat.  You are not alone.  Please take comfort in knowing hundreds are praying for each of you.  God Bless.

Suzanne, A partial excerpt from Meditations that I keep on the corkboard next to my office computer.

Being merciful truly is a blessed way to live. To understand why, all you need to do is remember why you show mercy in the first place. It's because of the mercy you've received from God. His forgiveness leads you to forgive. His pity fills you with pity for others [general concept-added by me]. The world may tell you your just a fool, setting yourself up for disappointment and abuse (how often haven't we thought that ourselves?), but Jesus tells us differently: when you show mercy, you're blessed. Don't be afraid to do just that. And sometimes, dear Christian, you will be taken advantage of. That's okay; the Jesus who was taken advantage of first will always keep his promise to show mercy on you.

May God bless the Laboy family.

Dear Suzanne,
It's easy to be grateful for those good 'on' moments. It hard to be ready for those hard 'off' moments. While the world marvels over Peter's remarkable recovery, I appreciate you pulling back the curtain to show the reality of TBI. My prayers continue for all of you for more better and less worser.

Many people say that God doesn't give us more than we can handle. I don't believe that. I believe that sometimes God gives us so much that we have to lean on Him and each other. I can't say that I fully understand what you are going through. Just know that people are praying for you, people you don't even know. Reach out when you need help and trust God. He's only a prayer away.

Praying for you and your family.  Psalm 23 comes to mind today:

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.

May you feel God's presence and peace today and always.

Love,

the Nygrens

There will be days that will turn dark
and it seems you can't find your way..
There will be questions" how do i start
making the sun to return into my day..

There will be silent tears that you will cry
and it takes all you have just to breath..
There will be a scream " why GOD" why
and you pray for this nightmare to leave..

There will be times you just really dont know
and it seems you can't go another mile..
There will be the days your love really shows
and all you can do is just offer a warm smile..

There will be all this and much more we know
because your journey is a journey of life..
There will be victory and peace that will flow
You are an Angel and a dedicated wife..
