Dear Patrick and Mom, my son had a kidney transplant last year at the Uof M.  My son saw your need and we want you to know you are in our hearts.   We pray for you and are doing what we can to help.  You are so brave.     We will keep you in our prayer's and follow your needs and do what we can to help.   God's Blessings Always.

Once upon a time there was a crooked tree and a straight tree. And they grew next to each other. And every day the straight tree would look at the crooked tree and he would say, "You're crooked. You've always been crooked, and you'll continue to be crooked. But look at me! Look at me!" said the straight tree. He said, "I'm tall and I'm straight." And then one day the lumberjacks came into the forest and looked around, and the manager in charge said, "Cut down all the straight trees." And that crooked tree is still there to this day, growing strong and growing strange. The End.

Here's to always being strange, but never being stangers! See ya soon Pack. Peace.

                                            Sincerely,
                                     Your Crooked Tree

Hi, Patrick!  I was tested to be a donor for you about a year and a half ago.  I made it past the initial tests to the point where I had additional bloodwork done and was contacted by someone from the transplant team.  I don't know you personally, (found you on FB from a mutual friend) but your story has touched me.  My sons are 14 and 17, and I can not imagine them in your situation.  I was deemed to be a good match for you, but was told there was someone better.  Fair enough, I thought.
However, I see you are still searching for your kidney.  I want to help.  I would be willing and honored to do the paired donation thing for you.  The transplant team should still have all of my records on file.  Please let me know what additional steps I can take to help ensure this happens for you, and I get on that list.  I will give my kidney to anyone, so long as you get one in return.  The best way to get in contact with me is through my work email:  kari.r.heimer@wellsfargo.com

I just finished reading your lastest entry. I think of you guys often and keep hoping that Patrick's special gift of a kidney will come true. I will continue to keep you in my prayers and spreading the word. I put more flyers in Wisconsin the last time I was down there. I tell your story and just pray that someone will call. God bless and have a very Merry CHRISTmas and Happy New Year.

Patrick and Family,
Just wanted you to know that your story is spreading.  I'm from Dodgeville Wisconsin.  My Daughter (Age 15) just had a liver transplant on June 10, 2010 so I can truly relate to your story.  Sounds like you have a lot of courage and strength.  I just called the U of M and they are sending me out a packet to be tested.  Hang in there and stay strong.  I will keep praying and spread the news about your story.

Just a quick note to say that I think of you guys a lot. I just have to believe that out there, somewhere, someone, has a kidney that will give Patrick back what he so deserves, a normal life. My heart goes out to you guys. I want to get somemore posters so that I can have them in my car. My daughter that lives in Wi. takes different routes from her home to here and says she will hang them up for all to see. Hang in there Patrick.
