Hi Hailey,

It sounds like you are making great progress. I also have a difficult time with the pft. It's hard to do I think. I just came home from MDA for my one year check- up. My 'birthday' is Saturday, April 19. Yea! I'm still having problems with GVHD and my eyes. But, we just keep smiling and doing our best, don't we? I hope everything improves for you and you have fun at home!

Aimee,

I'm so sorry to hear about Hailey's PFT, but don't worry yet.  Sandy did hers yesterday.  I totally agree.  If they don't give clear instructions, it's almost impossible for the girls to do well.  Sandy had a trainee yesterday that wasn't very clear, so I hope it all comes out okay.  You have to remember how far your doctors have brought you and that they will continue to do the right thing for Hailey.  Sandy is more than 6 months ahead of Hailey and there counts are almost identical; Hailey is amazing!!  Just keep your great attitude and your faith.  We are all praying!!

Hi Haley,
i love reading your updates and am so happy to hear of your improvement. It's not easy but be patient, we have to be so careful with our health. I'm so tired of putting on sunscreen but it's so important. I limit my outdoor time too and it's not easy. Btw, I found some really good masks at CVS that are stronger than the typical ones, look for antiviral masks made by Curad. They are especially good for the airport. I will pray for your friends and all of the children at St. Jude. Please include a friend of ours, Hans Loewen, in your prayers. He has a brain injury. He also is on this site. God bless you.

It is always good to see everything going well. Hailey and the other children will always be in our prayers. Hang in there.

Seeing what you said about the new family brings memories about when ya'll began and how other families' helped show you there was hope. You and Hailey are now that light and hope the new families need in their lives. With your and Hailey's awesome personalities and positive attitudes will help guide them.
