On Saturday, February 22nd, Pam Okon and her daughters Meghan and Morghan were involved in a collision accident on icy roads near their home. An oncoming vehicle drifted over the center line, striking their vehicle head on. The driver of the other vehicle perished at the scene and Pam and the girls were critically injured, along with the passenger in the other vehicle.
Tragically, Meghan did not survive her injuries. That is as difficult to write as it is to read; our hearts are broken beyond words.
Pam and Morghan remain hospitalized. The outlook for Morghan is very good and we are keeping vigil over Pam, who has suffered multiple, very serious injuries. Randy is at their bedsides continuously, working with the medical staff to ensure they are getting the best care possible. The support from so many who love the Okon family has been amazing. Their families an friends have been constant in their love and support. Randy's family in the Missoula City Fire Department, Pam's DNRC/USFS family and their colleagues and friends are working round the clock to see that every need is met and that they feel the love we all have for them. Thanks to so many of you who have brought flowers, cards, food, and have come to the hospital to offer support. Your love is deeply felt and appreciated.
We decided to establish this site after so many calls, emails, and requests for information. People from around the country have heard this terrible news and want to know more about Pam and Morghan's condition, how to help, and to extend love and support to the entire family. Please sign the guestbook and check back for additional updates. Most importantly, pray for healing and comfort as we work together to process what has happened.
We simply will love them through this.
