Things have been a little crazy around here the past couple of days.Darren noticed that in our basement there was mositure in the corner of the room that had gotten worse, so he called our home inspector who lead him to an environmental guy who came out to our house this morning to inspect the place. He checked the moisture level and it was high so he gave Darren the name of a company that can come and test the air, mositure level, test the mold, etc. So the investigator came out this afternoon and ran numerous test on our house. The air quality in the basement is not good, moisture level is high, which all could equal mold in the corner of the room. We will know the results Friday. Darren has been sick with a cough for 2 months, he has been on antibiotics and they did not help. Owen has also had a cough and runny nose, but his comes and goes. Darren's is hanging on, and after today we know why, because he spends a lot of time in the basment. His office is down there and he also watching tv in there. So after the environmental inspector came out today he suggested that we keep Owen out of the basement until we get the test results back. Owen loves to go to the basement so it is going to be hard to get him to understand. We told him that it was broken. We pray that the test come back normal, because if it shows mold, we will have to have a team of people come in and they will get rid of the mold and have to take down sheetrock, carpet, etc. This is a very expensive undertaking that we hope we do not have to do. We would have to move out, especially with Owen's comprised immune system. Mold can be very toxic and should not be around someone like him.

The only good news I got today was from Dr Anderson, the doctor that will perform Owen's developmental testing. She called and said that I would be allowed in the room while he was being tested! That made me happy, that is one less thing to worry about. So we go Friday morning and she said that it would take a couple of hours to complete.

Please keep our family in your prayers while we work through this ?mold problem.

Mary
