He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.

~ Isaiah 40:29

Hope everyone is enjoying your summer so far.. all I can say is I am sooo thankful for Airconditioning!!  lol
Thursday morning was Olivias scheduled appointment for blood work.. well  I went back to work so Tom was going to take her in.. we went to bed Wednesday all plans in order and everyone off to sleep.... At 4:30 a.m, Olivia says," mom can I get something to drink" I said sure, but she wouldnt come by me .. I say" hey come here" she says "NO I feel fine"  SO that means in Olivias world " I am sick and I dont want anyone to know" So I grab her, feel her and she is on fire!  Temp 103.5..I figure, she is going in the morning anyway for blood work, Ill give her tylenol and let her sleep it off and tell them then.  I started feeling bad and Tom said Maybe we should call The doctors just incase.. so we did and it was Dr. Canner.. he said that is pretty high, bring her in early and we'll check her out, but be prepared for a hospital stay.   So we let her sleep, I went to work and Tom took her in.
By the time she got to the clinic it was back up to 103 and they were deciding if they should keep her over night..  All the while Olivia is saying.. I DONT WANT TO STAY, Please I dont want to stay.. so what they decided was , check her counts, if they arent to bad they can give her an hour of antiobiotic, let her go home, and come back in the morning.  If it is the same or worse, she will have to stay.. Everyone agreed and off they went.. She promised to rest and she did.
Last night, Maddy starts complaining she is dizzy, fever 101.  Then Becca says her stomach hurt, 100
fever... Olivia still was holding the highest of 103.  Everyone relaxed, but I figured that by Friday, Olivia would be staying at Hope for atleast a night.. I would ask her after taking her temp "HOney how do you feel"  She would look at me 2 thumbs and say "oh great mom , I feel fine" as her eyes look like ice rinks and she was looking as if she was going to topple over.. She sooo was not going to the hospital.
So this morning her fever was down to 101 and we go to the clinic, they check it , it is 99.  We are so happy no stay.. but then as we are sitting there you see her cheeks getting redder and redder.. take it again 101!  The nurse and I look at each other... and say "she' s staying".   Dr Salvi comes in and as he walks in the door Olivia starts getting this rash all over her face and neck and it starts to moves down her back.. He says, "well I am saying since  it is a rash, it is viral she can go home and just keep an eye on her" Olivia was so happy!!  She couldnt wait to get out of there.  So we are home, with 3 kids sick, and probably one more (Abbey coming up around the bend) but atleast it is viral and will go away on its own.  I am so happy she is home and no hospital stays.  And so is she!! NOW the trick will be to keep her out of the pool.. that will be harder then any hospital stay that there is.. not fun!!!
We do not to have to go back for 2 weeks so I will update then.. Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July and I also have to say Happy Birthday to our Oldest daughter.. ABIGAIL ELIZABETH.. she is going to be (gulp)14 on July 1rst.  She graduated eighth grade this year, with Honors and is going to Highschool.. I cannot even believe Tom and I are old enough for a highschool kid..,...
Until next time. Prayers and have a safe holiday weekend.!!
