Obadiah’s Story

Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your prayers and support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

On June 12, I went to the doctor to find out why I had been having pain in my hip. The doctor felt something in my abdomen and I had to have a CT scan. They found a tumor. Two days later I had surgery but they couldn't take out the tumor. They told me I have neuroblastoma cancer. I had other tests and they said the cancer was only in the tumor. I have to have a lot of chemotherapy and surgery and radiation and other stuff too. Thanks for praying for me.

Legos

Thank you to everyone who helped with the Lego memorial. We delivered most of the legos yesterday to the Peds Oncology Clinic at Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse. Now there is a fresh supply for the children to choose from when they are in for treatment. We held some back and will deliver them to the peds floor of the hospital on holidays. We also kept a few for ourselves to put together on special occasions in memory of Obi. Thank you. I'm sure Obi would have been excited to share them with others.

How great is that??? Such a nice welcome to so many other children to play with. Obi would have been very excited to help deliver them. He's got a BIG SMILE on his face to see such a turn out collecting them for the children. He'll alway's be remembered as a loving and giving child of God. Bless your family with peace and comfort. Love, Judy and Butch
