I know that was one heck of a reunion in Heaven. Norma has waited a long time to see her daughter that died decades ago. She was tired. She left in body but her spirit will live on. When you least expect it you will feel her spirit with you and still looking out for all of you. Family was everything to Norma.Goodbye Norma you know how much you were loved and how much you will be missed now rest in peace!

Laurie,

Norma was one of a kind.  My family has known her since about 1971.Norma watched my family expand.  She knew all five of my mothers grandchildren.  Mom(Audrey Bryan) and Norma knew each other for about thirty years.  My youngest brother;s wedding dinner was held at the Davis Street location.  Now they are together probably laughing and telling stories as they did here.  I will try to find the wedding pictures,.  I think a couple have Norma in them.  She always sat at the front counter.  Saturday we all gathered at Normas.  It was they only way I could get my Liver and Onions(mom refused to cook it).  Oh her chocolate pie, out of this world.  Shw will be missed very much.  She always had a way to brighten my day.  Know My family loved her very much.

I remeber my grandmother Audrey Bryan telling me that she use to go into Norma's Cafe for over 30 years and then when I was born she would take me in there. My family has been going into the restuarnt for as long as I can remember. I was sad to see it being sold because I miss talking to her. I even took my two boys in there when they were little. She always knew how to make me smile when I was sad to see it sold but was glad that they kept the name. I have many good memories in the restruarant and she will be missed by my family. Norma and my grandmother were good friends.

Nancy, Vicki, and Laurie: Your mama was an amazing person and she will be missed by countless people. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as you face this challenging time in your own lives, but also know that, because of our faith, we can recognize that our life here on earth is only a transition to something much better.

Blessings,

Laurie,

As you know, Momma has passed, but not died.  She has everlasting life with the Lord Jesus and will be there to welcome you when your days here have passed.

Nor will she die away from earth as long as we keep her memory alive.  I learned when Josh passed that it didn't mean I had to stop loving him, and that keeps him alive here on earth in my and Sandy's heart.

God bless all of you who now must grieve through the remainder of the human process here on earth, but know she is healed and watching down on you as of this very minute.

My and Sandy's love to all.

As I sit and watch my mom in "transition" and think of Mama waiting in heaven with arms outstretched saying "come on Barbara", I pray that my mom would let go and go home to be with Jesus and her sweet friend Norma.  I'm not sure what mom is holding on to but we were sure that when we told her Norma had gone to heaven that it would give her some peace and not be afraid, if its fear that is keeping her here.  I understand your heartbreak and pain, we are all gonna miss our moms more than we can ever imagine.  I love you girls and I loved Mama.  Lets celebrate her life and all the people she touched.  You girls were blessed with a very special mom and friend.  She will certainly be missed.

Dear GirlFriends - The posts bring home so many thoughts and sadness I had 5 yrs ago when i lost my dear mom - I thought my heart had been broken.  I have found that each and every day I talk with my mom just like she is here and she hears me - we are so very blessed to have a Mom like we were given, but I understand, it is so hard to have to let her leave to be with the Lord.

Love to you all, Deronda
