Happy New Year!
I hope everyone's holidays were wonderful. I apologize for not updating sooner about the walk and all. Let me start by saying thank YOU to each and everyone one of you who donated, walked, supported, etc. The walk was a great success...There were over 400 walkers, lots of supporters and most important, we raised over $30k for the children of St. Jude. Team NOAH raised $6,000!!!!Go ahead and mark your calendars for Saturday, Nov. 20 for the 2nd Annual Give Thanks. Walk for St. Jude...Same place and time!
I don't know about you, but the holidays go faster and faster every year. I wish we had more time to do all the things we would like to do. It just seems like there is such a rush around this time of year and you try to fit everything in. This time of year is always bittersweet. It brings back too many memories of Noah being diagnosed and being away from family at Christmas. I can't believe Dec. 15 was 4 years since Noah was diagnosed, it's surreal at times. It makes me so happy to see how far he has come in the past 4 years. He and I will fly to Memphis next Thursday for his one year checkup. Please keep us in your prayers!
The boys had a great Christmas. It was so fun to see their faces as they came down the hall to see what Santa left...To see 3 sweet little faces come down that hall, I can't say how much that means to me. I was so excited and I just knew they would go straight to their jeep but wouldn't you know they would go straight to the stockings, lol....
I cannot say how well Noah is doing, he has never felt/looked so good that I can ever remember. I'm excited for Dr. Jeha to see him next week. He eats all the time, has gained weight, he is just growing up...Today it just was the two of us in the car and he said "Momma, this is nice, just us"...He is a sweet little boy and takes care of and loves his Momma so much!
Owen and Will are growing up SO much...Owen amazes me every day with his speech and all that he remembers and comprehends. He is a sweet soul. Will is the same age Noah was when he was diagnosed...I still haven't made his 15 mo. checkup...I just couldn't do it in December, I just couldn't! Will is finally walking and into everything and just runs after his brothers and tries to catch up.
Well, I better go for now...I had so much to say and now that it is so late I need to get everything ready for school/Mother's Day Out tomorrow. I promise I will do better on updating. I will update when we are in Memphis!
Love, Allison
