We went in for Noah's scans on Friday. We got there at 11 and were home by 6 with the CD in hand. Dr. Jeff gave the preliminary thumbs up but the official report was faxed to us today to confirm that everything still looks good. We can breathe easy for a few months. Noah usually comes out of anesthesia pretty fast and then eats everything we packed in his lunch bag. For some reason he didn't want to wake up as easily this time. It took almost 40 minutes for him to open his eyes even a little. He finlly started to move a drop when he told me he had to go potty. The nurse looked at me and was hoping that he wasn't potty trained. I had to take a drunk four year old to the bathroom and just hope for the best. I figured worst case scenario they have custodians to come clean up the mess. I couldn't believe how great he did and not once opened his eyes. We finally sat down back in the recovery room and just kept moving him. Finally, Jeff called me on my cell phone. Noah heard the phone and sat up to ask if he could answer it. I asked if he knew who it was and he knew by the different ring tone it was daddy. He picked up the phone and tried to talk but fell asleep again. I finally told the nurse that I could not stay there all night until he woke up so she let us go. Hopefully I won't update again for another six months.
