Since our last journal entry, things have been going well for Noah. He continues to make progress in therapy and works super hard day in and day out to gain strength, courage and get back to his daily activities.
Noah continues to make strides in physical therapy with strength, range of motion and now walking. He now has his permanent leg so that he can be up and mobile. He has been walking at home, in and out of appointments, to the store, and even dancing at a wedding with his leg. He has come so far in such a short amount of time, it is incredible.
He also continues to do well in speech therapy. He is working on his higher level thinking skills along with memory and problem solving. When he is not working on those skills, he is working hard with his therapist on his paramedic class. He is getting close to finishing a chapter and will go take a chapter test to get closer to the end of book work.
In occupational therapy, Noah continues to work on stretching, range of motion and everyday skills. He is now on hold for OT as we are waiting for the go ahead on casting his arm for the prosthetic. Noah is anxiously awaiting this!
With all of the therapy and appointments Noah has, he still manages to keep up with family and friends and his daily life. It is amazing to see him back to himself and doing the things he loves with those that mean the most to him.
Thank you all for your continued thoughts, prayers and well wishes. You all mean so much to Noah and I and our families. We appreciate everything everyone continues to do for us!
