Nikkis appt went well today. Nikki now has a splint for her left arm that will  help to keep her fingers and hand open and support her wrist. She is to wear this at least 2 hours on 2 hours off and while she sleeps. 

Next week she will have botox (yes botox) injections in her lower arm in the muscle and in her calf. This is to actually used to loosen the muscle. 
 
When she goes back the expectation is that the botox will have loosend up her leg enough to put a cast on her leg that will push her foot back. Over a 4 week period the cast will be changed pushing her foot back more each time.  If that does not work then what that means is that there is a tendon problem and would require surgery. 

She will also be fitted for a power wheel chair that will support her body better and help correct her posture. 

Nikki wanted me to let everyone know that with her splint on she can sucessfully clap her hands. Nikki is very excited about that.
