DAY +1225
Happy 10th Birthday to My Incredibly Amazing, Strong, Tenderhearted Son, Nicolas! I Love You, Nic!! You are one tough boy and will succeed in all that you set out to conquer!
Nic celebrated his 3 year transplant anniversary on January 27, 2009. We also went to CHOP for his yearly checkup and received a great report all around. All labs were totally normal and Dr. Bunin Says "Nic looks great." Every year out gives us more and more HOPE for a Healthier future!! I'm just happy for Every day that I get to spend with all of my family, because there are no guarantees in living one more day, cancer or no cancer!!! All we have is right here and right now!!! Enjoy Every Moment! Some days are tougher than others and we all have our share of difficult journeys, whatever they may be, but we need to be Happy in our daily travels!!!
Where did the school year go!! Friday is their last day. I guess, it's bittersweet for us! We will not miss getting up early, going to bed early, driving here and there, packing lunches, rushing everywhere!! But we will miss the wonderful teachers that all of my children had this blessed year and all the great friends they made! Mrs Jones, Nic's teacher has been terrific with him this year. He has totally come out of shyness with her and his friends in school. He loves school!!! Nic still enjoys playing soccer and in the fall he wants to play basketball again. I'm hoping for baseball, too, in the spring! Gotta keep them active!!!
My sweet baby girl, Izzie, turned 8 in May! She loves school and having Mr Burris for a teacher greatly helps:)) Izzie still sings and dances for ClearSpace productions. She wants to add private voice lessons like Gianna for next year! She also plays soccer very well. The school soccer games end on Saturday, but I am having her tryout for a travel soccer team because she is so passionate about it. She gives 110 percent of her energy on that field!! I Love you, Izzie!!
Gianna is completing 5th grade on Friday. She had a great year, made so many friends and also got elected as President of her class! She still sings, dances and plays piano with Clearspace and was in their production of SCROOGE in December. She has just begun rehearsals now for her next major production of Oliver in the Summer!!! I am so proud of her and love ALL of her unique qualities!!! Gianna shines in her own Special Way!!! I Love you Gianna!
Lena is finishing 7th grade this year and has improved her grades so nicely!!! She is not only my daughter, but also, my friend and I enjoy her so much! She also sings and dances for Clearspace On Tour! She played on her school basketball team this year and did very well. She loves school, especially all of her friends, but she is really looking forward to having a break for the summer!!
I am grateful for my life with my husband of almost 14 years and for my children whom everyday make me want to get out of bed. They make me a better person!!
The Best Things in Life Are Free
When we count
our many blessings;
It isn't hard to see
that life's most valued
treasures are the
treasures that are free.
For it isn't what
we own or buy
that signifies
our wealth.
It's the special
gifts that have
no price:
our family,
friends and health. Author Unknown
