Your journal from January touched my heart.  Your stories of how God has shown Himself to you and has blessed you are truly amazing and inspiring.  Each of my 4 kids have Nate's picture hanging in their room.  They were so touched by him and his love for Christ.  I am a Youth Group leader and we still talk about Nate and his amazing story.  Thank you for sharing how God has touch you and your lives over the past year.

Dear friends in Christ,
I was thinking about Nate the other day, and thinking it must be about a year since he went to see Jesus. Sure enough, your recent post happened soon after that thought.  It was my honor to have Nate come minister to me while I was in a hospital bed, severely weak, recovering from a health crisis.  He had rallied sometime in November 2012, and was in touch with our daughter Loni about if it was ok to come pray for me.  Our short visit with Nate on that day was profound and filled with the Holy Spirit.  I look back on that time as a treasured memory of your son and thank God for it.  I could see in his eyes the joy it was to be about the Lords business.  How fulfilled he must be now in serving the King in glory!  I send you my love as you press on.  God be with you.

Thank you so much for sharing your lives with us. Praises to Him who has held and kept you. Am thinking of you guys today, hearts are with you holding you, and yet know the experience also takes you to a  place of aloneness with only God. So many blessings of seeing HIs hand and experiencing His love be on you all.

God's timing . . . Was just reading my morning passage while waiting for the computer to boot.  The passage was Psalm 116 and I was first drawn by it's likeness to an experience this past Sunday by a loved one; then I saw the name of a dear friend of ours (who died Dec. 2012) I had written in by verse 15; then opened your message . . . God doesn't waste an instant of time!

Psalm 116:15  "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His godly ones."

Precious and in His sight is how he'll meet all of us - Thank you God, for that assurance and your love!

Our love to all the Kittelson family,

Vern and Ann

Hi Spence and Sheila!  I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of and praying for your continued healing.  It was so nice to see Anna when she was back, it meant a lot to me that she wanted to come see me:). I will never forget and always love that beautiful child of yours!! I tried to post this once already and something weird happened so hopefully it works this time.

Lots of love!

Spence and Sheila, thanks so much for sharing your heart and updating. You've been on my heart so much. I feel like calling just to say it but that would get too often and then not sure what I'd say after that:) Just know your ache is being shared however isolating. Again, thanks so much. Do not want to intrude but it would be cool to hang, maybe have you guys over for dinner:) Let us know if you'd like to do that.

Much love,

Bessie, I know you may not remember us, but we remember you from your work with the children at Hope.  We have been praying for many months and and want to assure you we continue to pray for your whole famiy and we know many others here are too.  Healing from grief is a long process.  You have touched many hearts for good.    Marcia Klcok and Adie Bllum

Bessie:

I hope you won't mind if I share your thoughts with a friend.  She is my age and just suddenly lost her hubby right after Christmas.  It's getting even more emotional for her right now.  (I'm sure the finality and longing.)

She and I spent two school years together 6th and 7th grade.  Back then we were at a slumber party together and I shared Jesus with the girls at the party, they prayed and accepted Him as their Savior.  My friend and her husband married on Vern's and my first anniversary.

I think your words are "healing words" and might help her to know there are others who experience the same pain.  And also to understand just a bit better God's accessibility and provision.  I know you desire to bring God glory.  Hopefully, this will do just that.

I will continue to pray for you and the much-loved Kittelson clan.

God Bless You dear friends,

Ann Osborn

Well said, I know the Lord is with you and your family because He promises us He'll never leave us nor forsake us. Though at times through the valley of life we do. But He is faithful and true. What an awesome God we serve. Thanks for sharing your heart I will continue to pray, you are not alone. Love you all, God bless.

Dearest Bessie and family, Yes, I will pray for the Lord to manifest joy in your heart and hope for the healing of painful memories and an overflow of happy memories or good memories that you want to keep on your mental front burner.  Nate's departure hit me hard as well and I didn't know how to respond to you all, so I did not respond except to continue to send some  forwarded emails to Spence.  I thought of you often.

Some people have to live a long time to make a contribution to building the kingdom of God on earth, but Nate made a big contribution to the building of the kingdom in a short time by his incredible faith, love of the Lord, Biblical trust in the Lord , the commitment of his life to him in life, in sickness, or in death and  by his courage.

This was a witness to so many people, a strengthener of faith and powerful example of  Christian courage and perseverance in the face of adversity of great severity, and total submission to fulfilling the will of God rather than demanding that God submit to his will for relief from pain and restoration of health.

Nate was  living out the example of Jesus in the Garden on the night of his betrayal.  Jesus was fully aware of the terrible things that would happen to him if he allowed himself to be willingly taken captive by his enemies.  He was in agony of spirit such that his sweat was as drops of blood from stress, yet he yielded his self will to obedience to His Father's will so that the greater good of mankind's redemption, Satan's defeat and the opening of heaven's gates to the godly dead in paradise and to all his followers might be accomplished.

Who is to say what  effect the example of Nate's faith and total submission to the will of God could  have on the lives of those who were aware of all that occurred in Nate's life and his response to it ?

We may face persecution and martyrdom in this life.  Nate's example could fortify the faith of others to be overcomers, strong and faithful to the end,  or strengthen their faith and commitment in other trials of life.

I am in awe of Nate's character, courage and Christian life.  I have been blessed by being a witness and it has been an inspiration to me although it was painful to me also because I empathized with him   and prayed for him.  Who knows how God will use his life's example?  It was not in vain.  Nate is wearing a victor's crown as an overcomer.  I pray that I will be faithful to the end as Nate so wonderfully demonstrated.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY. We celebrated NATE, at our bible study, last night. The gift of Nate's short life lives on. Micha has it, life is to be treasured, and lived to the fullest. Look at all the big and small things the Lord have given us. Nate got the best gift that God has promised us, eternal life. PTL always.

"The saints have taught us time and time again that our whole lives should be an offering to The Lord. They want us to realize that when we give ourselves over to God's plan we find ourselves strengthened and encouraged in difficult times. We find ourselves filled with a confidence that comes, not from worldly power or knowledge, but from trusting that The Lord knows what He is about."

Nate embodied this quote, as does your entire family. May you be strengthened, and filled with confidence as you continue your journey, trusting always that The Lord knows what He is about.
