Boy I am really getting bad at these updates. We have just been so very busy with soccer and hockey and school activites that I put off the update for tomorrow; and tomorrow never comes. I am the worst procrastinator. I do feel badly that I haven't had the chance to update. So here's what's been going on with Miss Morgan.

Morgans MRI did not show much more than the x-ray did...which is good. Basically she had something called an Avulsion Fracture which is where the tendon tore away from the bone, taking with it a couple pieces of bone. It did not require surgery or casting or anything different than the last sprain. Fortunately this sprain healed much better than the last one. This time she took an entire month off from soccer; which I believe helped a lot. She returned to soccer this past week.

Lab work has been good and Morgan continues to do well off treatment. After a year of discussing her "Make A Wish" wish; she has chosen a trip to the Bahamas for April school break. Although she always knew she wanted a trip of some sort; she opted to wait until she was completely done with treatment to get the ball rolling. It will be nice to get away for a few days and celebrate her health and happiness.

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. Morgan's birthday was actually Sunday, March 15th. Sweet 16 and man does that make me feel old! It doesn't seem possible that she's almost ready to get her license (she must wait until June when she finishes drivers education...which is a requirement in VT).

She is preparing for the Spring Musical at her High School. The group is performing "Footloose" the first weekend in April. I've had the opportunity to pop in on some rehearsals and the kids are doing a great job! Plus that was probably one of my very favorite movies as a teenager; so I am looking forward to seeing it on stage.

Recently Morgan was given the opportunity to apply for membership into the National Honor Society. We just recieved word that she was accepted! This is such a wonderful priviledge and honor. We are so very proud of her and her accomplishments. Way to go sweetie...ya done good! :)

We go back to Dartmouth for a checkup at the beginning of April. I think that visit will mark the end of her first year of post-treatment visits. Not sure but I think that means she will only go every other month for the next year. I am still so humbled at how well she did on treatment and how much she bounces back a little more each day. I haven't been one to believe in miracles; but how can I not? I live with one...every day. Thank you GOD!

I will post an update following the Make a Wish trip...with some photos. This will most likely be our final update. There just comes a time where we need to move past our life with cancer; and on to our life without it. Although we will miss all your kindness and support, we know your prayers will follow us always. You have carried us through our darkest hours, you have shared in both our joys and our sorrows, and you have given us more reasons to smile than we can count. Thank you all so much - for praying for Morgan and also giving us the opportunity to pray for you. You are all an extraordinary blessing. And will always remain a very very important part of our life story.

God bless,

Vicki
