I thought it would automatically include my location.  I heard about your family all the way up here. (I also understand how hard it is to have it splashed all over the news. Our son was all over the local media.  The newspapers blamed us and we had someone actually write an editorial calling for us to have criminal prosecution for 'neglect' of our child.  Heartless, judgement people.)

I heard about your son and I wanted to send my condolences.  I too had a son, Alex who Autistic.  He was 7 1/2 - severely Autistic.  Never learned to speak, etc.  He escaped from our home in May 2007 and went missing.  We found him 2 hours later in a lake near our home.  It was a horrible horrible time.  I still fill guilt about it all at times, even though logically I know it wasn't my fault.  We try and focus on the fact that he is now free of the horrible prison-like disease that Autism is.  I know what a nightmare this all is and I'm so sorry that you and your family have to go through this it.  This has change me and our family forever.  Our family has never been the same since his death, but we remember him and talk about him and his is definitely still party of our family.  I pray for your peace and comfort during this very trying time for you and your family.

Sheila and family:

Know that I am praying for you and your family in this difficult time.  I am so sorry for your loss.  May God wrap his arms around you and your family, may he give you comfort in your time of need, and may he give you reassurance in knowing that he is with your son protecting him.  God bless you and your family.

We are desperately looking for a landscape designer.  Unfortunately, Tree Top nursery wasn't able to donate their time, so we will have to believe that God intended someone else to help us in our hour of need.

We've contacted a bronze sculpturist for Bubbie's sculpture and God bless him, he looks to be a fabulous artist.

Pass this on to everyone you can.

we love you all,

Kenny and Sheila

Jeremy and I were so upset when we heard what happened. We can't even imagine your pain. As parents of an autistic son as well, we were so happy when we heard about your goal to build the playground for all kids on the spectrum to enjoy.  I know Mason would be so happy to see you do this.  Denise

The loss of this beautiful young man is devastating.  I will contimue to pray for your family, and mention Mason in passing as well as when people mention autism. Please continue to update the page so we can know when and where to help keep his legacy alive.  I have a young neighbor boy who is also autistic, and just as sweet as any boy could be.  In our small corner of the world we are very sensitive to these children and their needs.  I will go to my friends and neighbors and we will put together a monetary gift in Mason's name to help with the playground!  Take care of each other and remember Mason's infectuous smile.  God Bless You All At This Tragic Time!

Thank you everyone.  This has still been a horrible week, but we are struggling to get through this tragedy and to be truthful, I don't know how we are going to do it.  Everywhere I look reminds me of Mason.  I just want him back.

Please, if you visit the site, leave a message.  It helps us so much to know our son isn't being forgotten.

Colwich has asked us to come up with a design for the park we want created in Mason's Memory.  We are going to do a lot of fund raising and build some place beautiful and safe for all children to play in.

Also, we are passing a petition around to have the autism alert named the "Mason Alert" This alert would be sounded immediately if an autistic child goes missing and would provide the police with a photo, the childs favorite places and any near by bodies of water.  I only wish something like this had been in place a week ago.  Maybe my darling would still be here. love to all-sheila
