We would like to thank everyone for all the help and support we have received since Mike's accident, it's been amazing! We have started physical therapy at Pen Bay and I'm still researching other rehab center options as well. I am also working on getting some equipment in the house for Mike to use on his days off from out patient therapy. I have heard great things about the FES cycle. It would be extremely beneficial for Mike to have this equipment in our home. It uses electrical stimulation to work the muscle in his legs, helps maintain bone density, gives a cardiovascular work out and helps with spasticity in his legs.The FES Cycle is quite an expensive piece of equipment, but with the long term benefits it would provide Mike with, I believe it is a worth while goal for us to get this in our home. Mike's doing the best he can to keep his spirits up and to maintain a positive attitude. It's been a huge help being around the kids, family and friends. He is very determined to get back on his feet and get back to work as soon as he can.
