My Story

I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma on December 16, 2005. I am married to Lori and have three sons, Colin (16), Conor (13), and Shane (10).

The past year, I've had 4 different rounds of chemo. The chemo helped but has not put the disease into remission. I'm getting a stem cell transplant at MD Anderson in Houston. I will be in Houston for 4-5 months starting in Jan.

Great news from Houston - one year post transplant and I'm still cancer free.

Lori and boys and I want to thank all of you - we have had so much support over these past 2+ years - we cannot thank you enough.

I cannot claim victory because this disease has a nasty habit of reoccurring in one form or another or causing other issues, but I have been blessed thus far. I'd like to get to the point where I'm not defined by this disease - I'd like to hear someone say "That's right, I forgot, Mike did have cancer."

... anyway - I'm shutting down.

Thank you all!

P.S No news is good news!
