It has been almost 9 months since I updated this site since I have the blog going now, but I just felt the need to come and post here.  I miss the caringbridge site and the changes that they have made are fantastic!  So I thought, why not update a bit on here as well.

To summarize, to date, Michael has had 2 open heart surgeries, 3 cardiac catheterizations, 4 other major surgeries, hospitalized a total of 10 times, including hte first 85 days of his life.  Michael has several specialists and therapists that he sees and the first two years of his life have been hell...but wow, here we are. 

Michael is doing fantastic!  As of his last doctors appointment last week he weighs in at 26 lbs 4 oz and 35" long which puts him on the growth chart, 10th% for both height and weight...this is a first for Michael is his life!  He is loving preschool, he goes two mornings a week right now...we just started Gymboree once a week, which he loves!  The speech is coming along, although delayed...this morning when I was getting him dressed I was putting his shoes on and he pointed to his shoes and actually said shoes!  It was great!  He is started to say "want toy" or whatever, "want " something...which is huge!  I have no doubt in my mind that this kid is going to catch up completely and do fantastic things!  He is just so smart!

Megan loves her little brother and it is great to see the two of them play together...Michael just wants to do everything that Megan is doing and usually this is ok, but we certainly have our moments!  :)

I will continue to update my blog and try to update this site from time to time also.  I have lots of prayer requests right now...

Please pray for Michael for continued health, growth and healing...

Our friend Eithene is really in need of prayers...she has been in the hospital for quite a while now and she just really needs to get healthy and go home!
