Went to the cities today to see the heart surgeon, the cardiologist referred Mike to him as he thought there might of been some heart damage from the treatments. The Dr. went over all of the tests that have been done on Mike and said he did not see any heart damage at all. He also said that he didn't see any reason that Mike needed to continue with seeing the cardiologist. We are happy, happy, happy!!
We have both been fighting a pretty nasty bug since last weekend - We woke up this morning thinking we were feeling a little better but this evening we both feel yuk again. Our friends from Wyoming are over in Rochester this week and we haven't been able to go hang out with them yet as we have both been sick and we don't want to chance Gary catching this crud, so I have been pretty bummed =( Please keep them in your prayers - any and all prayers are appreciated!!
Have a great rest of the week =)
Update on test results
Written Mar 3, 2014 7:49amI am a few weeks behind - I am not sure where this life is going, but it flies by WAY to fast for me - It is so hard to believe that it is already March.
Mike had an upper endoscopy and a colonoscopy done on February 19th. Both tests looked good and they did not see any signs of cancer - Thank God!
Wednesday we will meet with the heart surgeon to talk with him about the heart issues that Mike has - it sounds like it may beable to be fixed with a simple surgery.
Nothing really has changed other than that - Mike still has pretty crappy days - is in his recliner more than not. He has been pretty bummed lately and said he wishes he could just have 1 full good day. He really hasn't had any good full days for many, many months.
We were supposed to leave today to go over to Rochester to spend a couple days with our friends from Casper, Wyoming but Mike has been hit with that nasty crud that is going around, it has hit him pretty hard. We are still hoping to get over there tomorrow. Our friend has been very sick and they are back to Rochester for the 2nd time in 6 months. Can't really say what is going on at this time as I am not sure if all of their family knows but I ask that you say a prayer for him and his family - they have some pretty tough days coming up.
Have a great day dear family & friends - Thank you so much for your continued prayers.
Much love & hug
Written Feb 7, 2014 12:38pmWe have our dates for the next couple of things that will be done for Mike - He will be going back to the U of M to have an upper GI and a colonoscopy on the 19th of this month. They are hoping to get this all figured out for him, he has been in alot of pain and very nauseous so we shall see if those 2 tests show anything.
Other than that, not much has changed - will update with any news from these tests
Have an awesome weekend!!
Mike & Sheryl
