Hi!, We were trying to update early but we have not an internet connection from the hospital for a while . Today Melanie had a great day! She played with Julie coloring, made sand art and played scrabble with me (she won)! 
Susan Nolan ( RT ) talk to Melanie about the possibility to be off the vent tomorrow and Melanie was calm and happy about it. Melanie knows Susan for more than 7 years and love her a lot and  believes in her.
She has pain in her mouth (palate and lips)... praying for tomorrow great extubation and no more pain, bronchospasm and panic to breath...
