Well today I visited Christie to get the results of my CT scan .
I'm not sure really what I was expecting the best senario I had envisaged was minimal growth and that I would be starting chemo soon.
It was so fantastic then to hear that this wasn't the case.
Dr Rout had been called away to theatre and Mia (PMP Manager) was asked to pass the message on .
The CT scan showed a slight reduction in Mucin and a small reduction in tumour size (Mia did give measurements but I can't remember them.)
My Liver, Kidneys, Pancreas are functioning normally and there is no further spread of disease, my lungs and lymph glands are also clear.
My bloods whilst still above normal showed two stable and one reduced.
Overall stable would have been good but this was really good news and I have no shame is saying that I cried a little with relief.
I know that this is now and what the future holds no one knows but life feels good at the moment.
How has this happened, a combination of things I believe :-
The treatment I receive from Christie and who knows the trial I was on with Professor Ranson last summer.
The power of Prayer and Faith and the support of a loving wife , family and friends.
My abdomen is still swollen but I have to attend the next PMP clinic to meet Dr. Rout who will carry out a physical examination so for the moment it's leave well alone .
As Heidi Berry a friend once said there is Hope Always
