Things have continued to remain quiet; well, kind of quiet. Last week was a stressful week, as the Friday before Claire had an enhancement in a mammogram. As you can imagine, all that we could think was the worst despite assurances to the contrary. Thankfully, a follow up mammogram and ultrasound revealed the enhancement to be a cyst. What a relief, as I simply could not have imagined my wife battling cancer. Meghan continues to hate physical therapy, however, we continue on as she needs it. She is still not eating by mouth, however, she is starting to taste things a little. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is. . . . . but it is the smallest price to pay. Meghan's next MRI will be on June 10th. Obviously, as the date comes closer, I will ask for your prayers again. On April 27th, Julia had a birthday blowout, as she did not have a party last year, because Meghan was in the midst of her treatment and we simply could not organize one. The party was great, everybody had a good time, and Julia was as happy as I have ever seen her. Julia and Meghan's relationship continues to blossom. Meghan, however, is one tough cookie. She has a fighting spirit that has to be witnessed to believed. She is way too funny. Obviously, every day we pray for long and happy life for our Meghan, and obviously, Julia as well. At this point, however, please direct your prayers and good thoughts to Susan Cross, who's latest MRI revealed that the suspect area is in fact a recurrence, and Jenna Carrol, who just underwent a difficult spinal surgery. Fortunately, the surgery appears to have gone well. They certainly need our love, support and prayers in order to endure the difficult physical and emotional times that lie ahead. Finally, please offer your prayers to the Pepperman family, as they recently lost an invaluable member after a long battle with cancer. We must do all we can to support the cause to find a cure, as this beast is the incarnation of pure evil.
