Meghan’s Story

Meg Herndon, A Nursing student at Southeast Missouri State University, and a star soccer athlete, was involved in a devastating scooter accident on September 9, 2012, when she was hit head on by a vehicle. Twelve days following her accident, Meg passed away. On September 20, 2012, Meg became an organ and tissue donor, giving the ultimate gift of life.

Meg’s family, friends, and everyone who follows her story, join together each year on July 23, on Meg’s birthday, to celebrate her life. All 1,000 plus fans of Meg hold hand fans that quote, “Impossible is Nothing”...the Motto Meg lived by. Meg’s family raises money each year for an endowed scholarship in honor of Meg at Southeast Missouri State University.
