Max Schwolert's Journal
Written Dec 29, 2012 10:15am by Phil SchwolertSaturday 12-29-12 9:30 update on Max. More of the same since my last update. More time for Max's condition to remind us of the fragility of life. More time for us to love him through this ordeal and for him to inspire us to love each other more honestly, regardless of the risk. More opportunities for his family to draw closer and help each other move through pain, confusion, and even anger. More time for prayer and for the Spirit to remind us that God's provision is sovereign, while sometimes not our preference. Max is a "more" kind of guy and we long for more of him. Please continue to pray for all involved.
Dec 28 - 7:30pm
Written Dec 28, 2012 7:30pm by Phil Schwolert7:30pm - Dec 28: Bad news and good news. Bad news is that Max is essentially where he was yesterday at this time - struggling for strength and progress. Needing to stabilize his BP and for his body to beat the toxic consequences of bacterial infection. Good news is that Max is essentially where he was yesterday at this time. While real progress was made and then lost throughout this day, he is still in a hopeful position, strong and holding up his end of the fight. We go into this night prayerful that God will see fit to strengthen Max, especially to build his blood pressure and to comfort his family. We believe he will. Blessings to you all. We have continued gratitude for you all and are blessed by your love and care.

It is 1pm on Dec. 28th. Max took a turn for the worse during the night but just in the last hour has begun to rally a little since they turned him over. This is something they do to get his body to respond to things. One goal among many is that they get his blood oxygen over 90. It was down it the 30's. But when they turned him it has creeped up over 90. We are continuing to pray that he will experience "baby steps" to getting better. It is hard to keep everyone updated so please be patient with us. Watch here or Facebook for updates. We feel your prayers. We are hopeful! Thank you all for everything!
