Max is back in Las Vegas and staying busy between setting up his new in-home and outpatient health care regimen and also making up for lost time socially by attending events and catching up with friends who have missed him dearly. The latest "Chefs to the Max" event on Sept 28th was a huge success and raised over $20,000 to assist the Jacobson's with their ever-mounting medical bills. The first thing everyone says when they see him is that he looks like a million bucks, which he truly does! You would never know by looking at him the trauma he has been through since the accident. Physically he is still the ox he always was but he still struggles with his speech and memory, and is frustrated by the fact that he can "eat" but he cannot "taste" anything. We keep reminding him that at least he's not getting his nutrients through a tube and his doctors are confident that his taste senses will eventually return.
Overall it's a miracle that he's home and doing so well. We are all so thankful to have Max back!
