Dear Family and Friends,
We hope and pray your Christmas and New Year's celebrations were full of God's love and goodness. The boys and I certainly know ours were... we were overwhelmed by God and you! The front door was a revolving one the entire holiday, and we would have had it no other way. Now it's back to "normal" and that's where we'd greatly appreciate your prayers. It is a "new normal" for us that we are discovering, and as a dear friend said New Year's Eve, "God is tenderly unfolding it for us." There are plenty of tough moments, but we so strongly "feel" your continued prayers and support. The body of Christ is such an amazing gift from God!
Another update for you is what is happening with the memorial gifts in Matt's honor. (Yet one more place where all of you have been unbelievably gracious!) On Saturday, February 28th, our home church (Stones Crossing Church in Greenwood) will be hosting a national simulcast event: "Focus on Marriage: Seeing Your Marriage Through the Eyes of God"(sponsored by Focus on the Family of Colorado Springs, CO). While this is an important step for our church in establishing a Marriage and Family ministry, it is still very much intended to bless any of you reading this, as well as our community. There will be nationally recognized speakers and worship led by Jeremy Camp. Because of the gifts we have received, we are able to substantially reduce the cost of the conference from $69 to $30/couple. The catch, however, is that you need to act quickly! We bought the tickets in advance and have 100 remaining, with the word going "public" just this week.
