Happy 23rd Birthday, Matthew John <3

Dear friends and family,
We remember Matthew on what would have been his birthday Jan 24th.  Three months before Matthew died in 2009, one of my daughters was in a college cafeteria. Across the room a stranger was staring at her showing three fingers. My daughter thought this was odd but noted it in her calendar.  Matthew died three months later to the date.  I remember Father Reiser said, "Matthew is a saint in heaven.  Not too many people have a saint looking out for them."

The Jubilee of Mercy began December 8th, 2015. This is an exceptional year for having confessions heard by those who need extra graces.

Jay and I have been married thirty six years.  Most people don't know that we had eight years of infertility before we had Andrew.   Deb was forty one when we had Jason.
Fun fact- we used cloth diapers only with the six children. ( no disposable diapers:)
"There is no more lovely, friendly, or charming relationship, communication, or company than a good marriage."Dr Martin Luther King Jr
"Let the wife make the husband glad to come home, and let him make her sorry to see him leave." Rev Martin Luther King Jr
"When a man and a woman are united by true love, each one takes as the destiny, the future of the other, as his or her own. " Pope John Paul II

No matter which one of a thousand roads you choose to take in life, at the end of that road you are going to see one of two faces. Either you will see the beautiful face of Jesus Christ, or you will see the horrific face of Satan.  And one or the other will say... MINE! Ven Fulton J. Sheen

Deb has been attending daily mass at Ephiphany Catholic Church.  After mass we pray the Rosary and Litany of our Blessed Mother. I believe in the Real Presense of CHRIST in the Blessed Sacrament.
"We would risk our lives to be present at a single mass." St Padre Pio
The mass is the most perfect form of prayer.  Pope Paul VI
I pray for the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit:  Wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of God.
"Every Holy Mass said with devotion, produces in our souls marvelous affects, abundant graces which we, ourselves, do not know.  It is easier for the earth to exist without the sun than without the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass!  Pray, hope, and don't worry.  Worry is useless.  God is merciful and will hear your prayer. St Padre Pio

"Lay this body anywhere, and take no trouble over it. One thing I ask of you, that you remember me at the altar of the Lord wherever you may be." Saint Monica
The longer the trial to which God subjects you, the greater the goodness in comforting you during the time of trial and in the exultation after the combat. St Pio

" When the time comes, as it surely will, when we face that awesome moment, the final judgement, I've often thought, as Fulton Sheen wrote, that it is a terrible moment of loneliness.  You have no advocates, you are there standing alone before God-- And a terror will rip your soul like nothing you can imagine.  But I really think that those in the pro- life movement will not be alone.  I think there will be a chorus of voices that have never been heard in this world, but are heard beautifully and clearly in the next world-- and they will plead for everyone who has been in this movement.  They will say to God," Spare him, because he loved us." Congressman Henry Hyde

Happy New Year!
all the best to you,
