Caring Bridge family and friends, July twentieth will be Matthew's six year anniversary. There will be a mass said for him at Epiphany Catholic church July 21st, 2015 at 8:00am. We love and miss him dearly. Shortly after Matthew died he appeared to one of our children four times in dreams. In one dream, he was on the side of the house and he said he wanted to show that sibling something. He danced and did a jig. He then said to "tell mom I love her!"
Here is update on Pafko family. Jay and Deb will be married thirty six years. We are joyfully expecting our third grandchild. This Mothers day card Jay wrote, "Hey Deb...thank you for being my wife, the mother of our children, and just for being a wonderful person. You are the greatest gift God gave me. I love you so much. Your husband, Jay
Jean Vanier, founder of L'Arche, has this to say: Human marriage is something beautiful: A man and a woman are called to live as one body, in the unity of a loving and faithful relationship expressed with their whole beings, their hearts, and their bodies. They accept each other completely, in humility and tenderness. It is a vision of sexuality for a faithful relationship, for a life of oneness that will be fruitful.
I question the Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage. Was it not for such crimes that Almighty God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah? This Old Testament story is an actual event in history. In the bible, love wins when a person renounces sin and turns away from it while trusting in God's everlasting love.
Andrew, Jessica, and baby Brady are living in New York. We celebrate when they come in town and stay with us.
Jessica, Andy, and son Lucas and expecting a new arrival soon. Excitement is in the air.
Alexandra and Tim recently got married. It was beautiful and so much fun. Alexandra is getting her graduate engineering degree at University of Saint Thomas.
Ashley is playing on a semi pro soccer team this summer out of state. She is studying Communications (major), and Information Technology (minor), and will be a junior at the University of Minnesota. She is a Gopher soccer player and is having the time of her life. Last season she received Big Ten defender of the week and scored the lone goal vs Florida State as a defender. Deb is a University of Minnesota tailgating Coordinator. A owner of a company told Deb that his friends would kill for that title:)
Jason will be attending Bethel University playing football and baseball. He will be studying finance. The football coach said, "I am going to turn these boys into men. They will be good Christian husbands and fathers. (Just what a mom wants to hear). A Bethel parent told Deb "practice at the Gopher to help with Bethel tailgating."
Let nothing disturb you; nothing frighten you. All things are passing. God never changes, Patience obtains all things. Nothing is wanting to him who possesses God. God alone suffices. Saint Therese
I have been attending daily mass for a few years. After mass a group of us pray the rosary and Litany of our Blessed Mother. Many graces, blessings, and favors are granted. I believe going to mass is what heaven is like. I close my eyes and enter into the sacrifice. We believe that the angels, saints, and our loved ones surround the priest.
I continue to pray fifteen decades of the rosary daily. (I am two weeks ahead:) I truly try to pray unceasingly. LOVE IT!!!
