It's been so long since our last post, but life is moving on. Matt's last doctor visit went well although we continue to have GI issues. With all the scar tissue in Matt's stomach and intestines it's been hard for him to digest food, process it, and pass it. His whole GI trac can get pretty unstable. He's been taking a drug called "carafate" for inflamation in this area, but to us, it seems to be causing some of the vomitting. We are not sure, but we plan to discuss this with his GI doctor this Thursday. It's hard to put on weight when you vomit 3 or more times a day. When you sit back and look at what all Matt and other DSRCT patients go through, this seems so minor. It's hard on him, and we hate watching him go through this, but we are so grateful for how far we've come. We sent two of our friends home to Jesus this month. Two very sweet, loving, and innocent young men who reminded us how fragile life is and taught us how precious our time is together. They, and their families, will always be special to us and remembered. You know who you are. Please continue to pray for the others and remember Matt's tummy.
