Matthew and I headed off to Childrens's Hospital for his 3 year post transplant appointment. This visit was all lab and blood tests. There was no biopsy needed after 2 years. Matt once again did a fine job of getting about 10 vials of blood taken from him. We had to wait around for 1 hour to check his glucose level and if was okay we were all done. The basic chemisty and lab work up all came back great. We are waiting for test results probably tuesday or wednesday on t-cell and some more indepth tests. It truly amazes me how well Matthew handles all of this even to this day, although he still try's to escape the nurse when she is calling his name. Matthew even remembered his can of ice to bring with us to help ease the pain from the needle prick.

He was treated to McDonalds and the Cafeteria for $10.00 and we spent it all on food as Matthew was starving as he could not eat or drink due to the lab work. I know how blessed we are with Matthew doing so well as it is not a pretty sight to visit the oncology floor and see all the sick children.

Our next visit we need to take care of is to see the Dermatologist as Matthew's face needs some attention. He either has excema,dry skin, chlorine irritation or sensitivity from chemo from transplant. Till next time. Have a Wonderful 4th of July!!!!
