More perils of steroid use (let this be a lesson to you)...difficulty sleeping.

Mark left very early to catch a flight today. During the 5am hour, I was awakened to Mason's voice. He was happily playing in his room with toys. Being that I refuse to "do five am" (barring obvious illness issues), I stayed in bed and just listened. I got in the shower, got ready, and then went to Mason's room by about 6:04am. (Still too early for me to be entertaining kids, by the way).

So, as I open his door, I find 3 bins of toys emptied everywhere. Toy Story, Wiggles, and animals. Mason's baseball-shaped rug has been moved. His rocking chair has been moved across the room, in order for him to turn on his table lamp (which is on a HIGH dresser). He had also opened his curtains (I don't know why, because it was still pitch black outside). I should probably add at this point, that he does not have an overhead light. It was removed a LONG time ago to prevent his turning it on at 2am to play. We did return said overhead light bulb recently, only to remove it the next day (due to finding it on at 3am). He had also taken off his pulse oximeter. When I asked "who is supposed to take that off", he replied "you Mommy". So, my next question was "why did you take it off". His response "because you were sleeping you lazy and crazy mommy". I guess if the shoe fits....

Anyway, last night he stayed at about 94%. He's still quite pale and "sickly" looking, but is breathing better. He only needed his albuterol inhaler a few times yesterday. So, he'll be off to school again today.
