My Story

Welcome to my web site. My name is Martyn Coyne and on the 16th July 2005 I was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia at 24.

On the 20th November 2005 I was admitted to Kings College Hospital for the start of my stem cell transplant.

I have produced this web site to update my family and friends on my progress through what will be a bumpy journey , but a worthy one.

Dear all,

Many thanks to all of you that sponsored my brother Craig and I for today’s London marathon. We returned home about an hour ago and are pleased to tell you all everything went really well. My official time was 3:57:43 compared to 4:56:12 last year, so almost an hour faster. Craig’s official time was 4:22:08 compared to 4:59:41 last year which is also a huge improvement.

It’s not too late to sponsor us; you can do so by visiting our secure website at:

www.justgiving.com/martyncraig

You can view our official results by clicking on this link which will take you directly to them:

Mine and Craig’s official split times

Craig and I have got tomorrow off of work thankfully so will most probably be lying down in front of the TV recovering! They say it takes 1 day for every mile ran to recover, so I’ve got an excuse to be lazy for the next 26 days!!

Many thanks again for your continuous support.

Martyn and Craig J
