Hey friends!  I wanted to tell you all about a statewide fundraiser I am chairing for The Cure Starts Now this summer.  It is called, “Make A Stand, Put the Squeeze On Brain Cancer”.  We are trying to get as many neighborhoods, in cities all over Alabama, to host a lemonade stand during the months of June and July, with the proceeds going to The Cure Starts Now for funding pediatric brain tumor research.  You can go to The Cure Starts Now website to find out more and register your stand.  When you register your stand, you will receive a kit in the mail with all you need for your stand; a banner, brochures to raise awareness, tattoos with The Cure Starts Now logo for kids to wear, car stickers, and lots of other fun stuff…we are even working to find a lemonade sponsor.  This summer’s winning stand will receive an ice-cream party, sponsored by Dryer’s ice cream!  Be on the lookout for our featured articles in Montgomery Parents and Birmingham Parents magazines in June.  Visit www.thecurestartsnow.org for more info and to register your stand!
