Happy New Year!!
I know a lot of time goes by and I don't post any updates. That should be taken as a good thing. It means that we are happily being distracted by nothing and everything. The holidays were pleasant. I was invited to take Luke and Mike on the Flight for Santa just before Christmas. We went to the airport and got out tickets for the North Pole. Then we boarded a plane and took off. About half an hour into the flight we got news that Santa was flying out to meet us. He landed on the top of the plane with a "bump" and then came inside to greet everyone. The kids just loved the whole thing. Of course, I did start getting questions afterwards of when were we going to take a plane again and, you know, next time could we go someplace hot.

New Year's Eve we had family over and it was a quiet evening. We talked and then at midnight we gathered up all the kids and went outside with some pots and spoons and made a lot of noise. We were trying to drive away any of the bad spirits from last year that might be lingering. I think it worked.
