Hey everyone. I know, I know.......I'm a little behind on getting you updates. I apologize. It has been a great last couple of weeks. Larry has now gained a total of 17 lbs, as of yesterday morning. This was just in the last 3 weeks. We went to the Dr. yesterday to get the results from all of the scans that they did last week to see where we were at with everything, and how well the treatments were working. We got GREAT news! I knew we were going to before we ever got there. I could just tell, and I felt it in my heart too. The Dr. walked in with a huge smile on his face from ear to ear. 1st of all, he was absolutely amazed at the weight gain. He had to check it twice he said, because he thought someone had written it down wrong. Anyway, he said that everything was working extremely well. He said that the Chemo treatments had decreased the cancer areas significantly! He told us that Larry didn't have to come back for anymore Chemo until June. All the Dr. could say is he was extremely pleased at the remarkable turn around Larry has made in such a short period of time. He has 9 more radiation treatments, which by the way are going fine. He hasn't had any problems with it at all. So, we celebrated all afternoon yesterday and called everyone we could think of. We were all just ecstatic about the news. Larry more so than anyone. He just kept saying over and over on the way home about how amazed he was. Larry has now been completely quit smoking for about 2 mos. He says that he doesn't even want one. As far as the side effects from the Chemo........the 1st round was pretty rough on him, but the 2nd round was a breeze. The only side effect that he has had in weeks is basically that he has lost some of his hair, but he still has quite a bit and it still looks great. He is starting to look more like himself again everyday. He is starting to get more of his strength and energy back now, and is walking and getting around more and more on his own. He also getting back to his joking self again. He is still eating and eating and eating......at least every 5 minutes or so, he is asking for something. Everything is starting to taste better to him too. Just for an example: Every morning he eats at least 3 biscuits, 3 eggs, and gravy for breakfast. This is after having 1 or 2 helpings of cereal a little earlier than that. He eats about anywhere from 4 - 8 cups of Ice Cream/day, probably about 8 more helpings of Cereal, Banana Pudding a couple of times a day or more, Chicken Wings (8-10 at a time), english peas, baked potatoes several times/ day, etc. For the life of me, I just don't know how he holds it all. He ate 2 big helpings of Spaghetti and Garlic Bread last night, and then turned around and ate about 3 cups of Ice Cream and Banana Pudding too. He will be back up to his normal weight and then some in a few more weeks at this rate. This will help his energy level tremendously. Anyway, I want to Thank everyone again for your continued support and prayers. Obviously, all of these things are helping a great deal......so please keep it up! I will be getting some new pics soon from his Birthday and Mothers Day, so keep a watch. As I said from the very beginning, even when Larry was very sick, Miracles do happen every day! It only takes 3 to believe and it will happen. We have had many more than just 3 throughout this ordeal, but What A DIFFERENCE it has made! We Love You All so very much!!!!!! Jenn
